Fitness Options personal training clients are eligible for a complimentary 15-minute musculoskeletal screening. During this session, a physical therapist will:

Dr. Shaun O'Connor, PT, DPT, CCTT

Owner, Physical Therapist

Specializes in spinal disorders, TMJ/oral-maxillofacial pain, headaches, and cervicogenic dizziness.

Dr. Shaun O'Connor is the owner of Catamount Physical Therapy and is a Co-Owner of Fitness Options Personal Training Studio. He graduated from the University of Vermont in 1989 with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education. He returned to UVM and completed a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy in 1995. In 2017, he completed his Doctorate in Physical Therapy through Evidence in Motion. Dr. O'Connor is a Diplomat of the Physical Therapy Board of Craniofacial and Cervical Therapeutics (PTBCCT). He is a member of the American Academy of Orofacial Pain (AAOP) and is one of the few Board Certified Cervical and Temporomandibular Therapists in the United States. He is a guest lecturer for the UVM Doctorate Physical Therapy program and has presented at local and national conferences.His specialty is integrative therapy for patients with oral-maxillofacial pain, temporomandibular disorders (TMD), cervical spine disorders and headaches. His passions outside of work are spending time with his family and enjoying outdoor activities.

Dr. Jason Hardacre, PT, DPT

Physical Therapist

Focuses on ACL rehabilitation, hip and shoulder pain, and concussion recovery.

Dr. Jason Hardacre graduated from Saint Lawrence University in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. While attending SLU, Jason was a member of the varsity cross country and indoor track teams where he competed for 3 of his 4 years. Following graduation, he returned to Vermont where he worked as a rehab aide in a local orthopedic PT clinic before moving to Colorado and working a similar role in a suburb of Denver. Jason attended the University of Vermont, where he graduated with his doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2024. Jason is passionate about empowering patients to move and achieve health and wellness goals above their own expectations. He is interested in pursuing an orthopedic or sports residency to acquire additional skills and distinguish areas of clinical interest/expertise. Currently Jason's clinical interests include ACL rehabilitation, hip and shoulder pain, and recovery from weightlifting related injuries. Personal: In his free time, Jason enjoys exploring with his partner, backcountry skiing, hiking and recreational soccer.

Dr. Sydney Swindell, PT, DPT

Physical Therapist

Experienced in complex mobility and neurological conditions, including Parkinson’s Disease, Ataxia, and stroke.

Dr. Sydney Swindell has over five years of experience in various inpatient and outpatient physical therapy settings. Before becoming a PT, she served 10 years in the U.S. Navy and spent six years managing security operations in the defense industry. In 2016, she transitioned to physical therapy, earning her doctorate from the University of Vermont in 2019. Specializing in neurologic and balance disorders, Dr. Swindell has extensive experience treating Parkinson's Disease, Ataxia, and stroke. She holds certifications in Advanced Manual Therapy, Neurologic Dry Needling, and Rock Steady Boxing and serves as a clinical instructor for UVM's DPT and Exercise Science programs. She has also presented at the American College of Sports Medicine national conference. Passionate about keeping Vermonters active and engaged, she leads community programs like Rock Steady Boxing and KVM Adventures. Outside of work, she enjoys exploring the outdoors with her two daughters, Daisy and Audrey, and their playful sheepadoodle, Simon.

Dr. Andrew Frerich, PT, DPT, CSCS

Physical Therapist

Passionate about guiding patients through recovery; specializes in general orthopedic conditions and concussion rehabilitation.

Dr. Andrew Frerich graduated from Elmhurst University in 2021 with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing. Andrew played lacrosse for all four years at Elmhurst. During his senior year, he was named a Scholar All-American. Following graduation, he attended Regis University, where he graduated with his doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2024. Andrew is a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist, who is passionate about guiding patients through their treatment, so they feel like they are a part of their own recovery process. He is interested in pursuing an orthopedic or sports residency to acquire additional skills and distinguish areas of clinical interest/expertise. Currently Andrew's clinical interests include general orthopedic ailments, as well as concussion rehabilitation. Personal: In his free time, Andrew enjoys spending time with his fiancée and dog, cycling, and cheering for the Colorado Avalanche.
